For more than seventeen years I’ve stood beside couples as they put their hearts and love into words.
​I’ve seen the behind-the-scenes tears, the overwhelm, the “where do I even start,” the crumpled drafts on the kitchen table, and the quiet fear of wanting to say something meaningful, but not knowing how.​
And every time, I remind them:

A big part of why I do this is because, when I married my hubby, I didn’t know I could write my own vows. No one told me.
There was no guidance, no support, no gentle “it’s okay, you’re allowed.”
It was simply - pick from a book.
And I look back now wishing I’d had the confidence, the structure and the permission to speak from my heart.​
