What is an elopement?

Well, Wikipedia answers this best… "Elopement, colloquially speaking, is often used to refer to a marriage conducted in sudden and secretive fashion, usually involving a hurried flight away from one's place of residence together with one's beloved with the intention of getting married."

So what does an Elopement actually mean?

Well to me - it means running away with your nearest and dearest and just declaring your love without all the "glitter" - just love in your hearts!!!

We "eloped"… ok there was 13 of us! But to me we still eloped. Ideally it would have just been me the hubster and 2 witnesses, but we couldn't do it without our boys, our parents, my Omi, our bro and sis and our 2 amazing mates! It was a short and sweet ceremony where we got married overlooking the beach and then headed to our then fave restaurant for dinner = married!!! We then had a low key bbq with all of our nearest and dearest some months later (no stress)!!!!

And woah, how boring is this post, right! Check out my new elopement posts below 👇
