The White House of Waterford Wedding | Tim & Kate | Kerri Watkins Celebrant

Updated: Jan 27

Kate and Tim's wedding was a beautiful day filled with love, laughter, and tears of… more laughter. They were surrounded by their closest family and friends as they said "I do" at The White House of Waterford (one of my favourite venues). It was an honour to be a part of their special day and to share in their happiness. I know that they will cherish the memories from their wedding day forever because I can’t stop smiling when I think about their day!

You can read all about the cheekiness of Kate and Tim below, but first, here are Kate and Tim’s tips and advice on how to have the wedding of your dreams!

What were your hopes and dreams for your wedding ceremony?

A comfortable easy-going ceremony that reflects us as a couple.

What were you worried about or didn't know when planning your ceremony?

Everything! I had no idea where to start and what to do.

What are you thankful for?

Kerri, and all the staff at our venue. There was absolutely no stress feeling through the WHOLE planning process and the day. No need for bridezilla to come out because of Kerri and her help.

How would you describe the feel of your ceremony?

It was beautiful, everything went to plan, and we had our guests smiling and laughing throughout which is what we wanted, we don’t take life too seriously. Kerri knew this and aced it!

Where did you get your vow writing inspiration?

Google and Tim had help from Kerri from an email with some key points to follow.

Did you keep them secret from each other or did you share?

Secret.

And this is why I love it when my couples keep their vows secret from each other!

Secret Squirrel Vows doing their thing!!! So much love and laughter!

What are the things you would never change?

Literally nothing, everything was perfect.

Top 2 tips

  • Trust your celebrant, especially if it’s Kerri, she’s amazing!

Yes! 100%.

How would you describe Kerri Watkins Celebrant to other couples

She’s easy-going, nothing but great vibes.

Great communication from the very first day to even weeks after the wedding.

Professional and will make sure everything goes how you want!

Kate and Tim and their two girls rocked my world from the very first meeting. I was blown away by their warmth and genuine affection for each other and the way they would light up a room when they all walked in. I couldn’t wait to share their journey and their big day with them and I couldn’t wait to share their story in front of their treasured family and friends.

Kate and Tim first met at work where the slogan was “Way to Go”, luckily for Tim, Kate had a great personality and a great bum (his words). But what he actually meant to say (and he did), was that he absolutely fell head over heels in love with Kate’s personality and her quirkiness. While Kate fell for Tim’s love for adventure and fun. His kindness and loving nature and she absolutely adores seeing him be a dad – he’s the best dad.

After finding out that their mutual love of camping, drinking and having fun were what brought them together, that and dutch ovens and compliments, I knew I had found my couple.

Tim and Kate described marriage as continuing to live their lives based on commitment, honesty, teamwork, unconditional love, fulfilment and living comfortable and happy. Mind you they did forget to add that they would forever laugh with and at each other.

After being “Signed, Sealed and Delivered by Stevie Wonder”, I also had the honour of MC’ing Kate and Tim’s reception which meant that the laughs continued into the night and I got to witness one of the most precious moments between them and their two daughters - a family dance! My heart nearly exploded with cuteness overload!!!!!!

After reaching out to a few of their family members in secret to get “some goss” for their reception. It was evident how much they were both adored by their family and friends and I couldn’t wait to share their night celebrating their love with them all.

This goss was released during the night, but my favourites were during the shoe game where “who has the bigger butt”, “who is the most responsible parent” and “who is more likely to destroy clothing doing the laundry” were revealed. It was hilarious!!!! And the entire room erupted into laughter with Kate and Tim’s responses!

More kind words from Tim and Kate

Kerri is just simply amazing. She’s funny, professional and will make your day stress free. We can’t recommend her enough!😃

And more...

We couldn’t of picked a better person to have as our celebrant and MC! You're wonderful! Thank you isn’t enough!

How lucky am I that Tim and Kate have shared so many kind words with me.

Thank you Kate and Tim for entrusting me with your wedding day and for sharing your hints and tips with future couples! May you never stop dreaming, laughing and dancing! Xxx

A huge shoutout must go to The White House of Waterford Team and Kylie Williams from KWP Studios for helping me pull together Kate and Tim’s wedding day! We really are the dream team and I am so honoured that I get to work alongside you both.

Please note: The White House of Waterford is now under new management. Beck and Leigh, the previous owners, now own La Casetta Italian Restaurant and Food Truck.
